This week I decided to do my video with the new addition to my family, Teddy! Pet food is one that I don't think many people consider to be giving them a reaction so I thought this would be a perfect thing to say "What the heck?" to. Teddy is gluten-free so we don't have to worry about it, but checking labels of your pet's food is important now too!
Question: Is your dog or cat gluten-free? Or has this not been something you thought about until now?
My cat is now on grain free cat food. I was just giving her the Whole Foods brand cat food for a long time, and although I didn't see wheat or barley in the ingredients list I just couldn't be certain. So, I decided it was worth it to switch her to a grain free cat food, both for her health and for mine. I love when my little kitty licks my hands, and I'd hate for her to gluten me accidentally. I also just don't want the risk of gluten in my house anymore. Thanks for raising more awareness about gluten in pet food.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Glad to raise awareness about this since I know so many people don't think about it. My dog licks me a lot too so I would definitely worry about it if he wasn't gluten-free!
