Great And Easy Gluten Free Breakfast Ideas

Since school has started, gluten-free meals have to be on the mind and planned for the future. But since being gluten free, it can be difficult to make meals that are both quick and great tasting. Here is a list of some of the best breakfast options you can make and use to help make your mornings easier!

Gluten Free Bagel
Very fast & very simple! Just put in the toaster then put on the cream cheese! Easy & tastes great!

Note: May need to microwave bagels for 20 secs to thaw for toaster

Gluten Free English Muffin
This is a very money efficient fast breakfast! It comes with enough English muffins to last a week worth of breakfasts! Put in microwave for 30 secs to thaw, cut in half, put butter, garlic, pepper, then sprinkle veggie shreds on top & microwave for 45 secs. Fast, easy, great tasting!

Gluten Free French Toast (Cinnamon Raisin)

This takes longer to make but provides breakfast for most of the week! Make all the french toast on a Sunday night then store! It is very filling and provides 14 slices of french toast which can make breakfast a lot easier when having a pre-made meal ready to go each morning.

Note: Amount of eggs, soy milk, and vanilla differs on how much french toast is being made

Gluten Free Cereal
If you are ever in a hurry this is an easy option. There are many different flavors of cereal and soy milk to combine which gives you many options!

Gluten Free Toast
Not the most filling breakfast option, but with some fruit or anything else it can be great!

 Udi's Gluten Free Muffins

This option isn't the healthiest but is one of the easiest and fastest to do. Just put in the microwave to warm up and it's ready to go!

Van's Natural Foods Breakfast Products
Super fast and gives you lots more options for breakfast in the morning. Most of their products are already frozen so it may not be as fresh as making your own breakfast, but it still tastes great!

Gluten-free Baked Apple Oatmeal

I would recommend making this the night before you want to eat it in the morning because it takes some time. But once it's made it should be a very filling breakfast option to last most of the week!

Gluten Free Potato Pancakes

This is a new recipe I recently came up with. It surprisingly turned out to be very good but also very inexpensive. If frozen they can last a long time then later be defrosted to make the mornings easier.

Gluten Free Banana Oatmeal Muffins

This is also a very inexpensive and very time efficient option for the mornings. Once made the morning or the night before, they can be frozen and last weeks to be defrosted later on. They taste just as great defrosted then when they are just made!

Gluten Free Egg Mcmuffin

I for one have never had an Egg Mcmuffin from Mcdonalds before. But I have made this recipe and it was pretty good! I don't know how it compares, but I do know that it is a much healthier option than any other place and is very simple to make too!

Gluten Free Apple Strudel Muffin

Once made, these muffins can be frozen then heated up for later and taste just as great. This is one of my favorite breakfast recipes I've come up with by myself.

  1. one thing about gluten-free to watch for are foods that do similar things that gluten does like corn starches and potatoe starches, and high suguars. they may not contain gluten, but your blood sugar will spike, and your insulin will surge, helping increase your insulin resistance and inflamation in your pancrease and other organs (skin?)... which is a lot of the bad stuff that comes w/ gluten if you're allergic. just because it's free of gluten, doesn't mean it's free of bad stuff. i'm not a nutritionist, but i do play one on tv. also, i'm gluten allergic, and treating gluten-free breatfast cereals like a once-in-a-while treat rather than a complete regular is key for me.

  2. I completely agree with all of that! I just put this list on here for the quick and easy options for parents to give their kids or for themselves. I have a type of Adrenal Disorder & hypoglycemia which makes me have to watch my blood sugar. I personally have problems too with these products because of sugars. I usually go the omelet & vegetable route which makes me feel a lot better in the morning anyways! Thank you for your input! And oh, I'm not a nutritionist either.
