You may have or have not heard of the ingredient Aspartame. If you haven't heard of it then it's definitely an ingredient you should be more aware of. There are studies that have shown many symptoms it's linked to as well as many diseases it worsens over time. You would think that such a commonly seen ingredient in sweet products has to be safe. You would think that, but aspartame is actually banned in multiple countries around the world and can be dangerous. Most common foods containing aspartame:
  • Diet sodas
  • Yogurts
  • Chewing gum
  • Cooking sauces
  • Tabletop sweeteners
  • Drink powders
  • Flavored water
  • Sugar-free products

Highest percentage of symptoms from from people in studies include:
  • Headaches (45%)
  • Dizziness, unsteadiness, or both (39%)
  • Confusion, memory loss, or both (29%)
  • Severe drowsiness and sleepiness (17%)
  • Decreased vision and/or other eye problems (25%)

The following diseases can be worsened by consuming aspartame:               
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Epilepsy                   
  • Chronic faigue syndrome
