Gluten Free Restaurant List (Updated July 2014)

Dining out while being gluten-free is probably the hardest thing for us all to do. After venturing through almost three years of living with Celiac Diseases these are the places that I have found to be the most allergy friendly. Below I list the name of the restaurants as well as all their gluten-free menus. I hope this is helpful and makes your dining experience easier! Also check out my Allergy Awareness Restaurant Cards to make your experience at a restaurant easier as well!

Chipotle
When it comes to fast eats, Chipotle is the best of the best for those who are bound to a gluten free diet.  Their food is freshly prepared and their menu is almost 100% void of gluten. Stear clear of the flour tortillas but feel safe knowing that you can indulge on the chips and corn tacos.

  4. Yesterday I ate at Bob Evans for the first time since learning that I have gluten sensitivity and a dairy allergy. I was amazed to find out that they have a gluten free menu. Also the manager at the restaurant where I ate in Elkview, WV was VERY helpful, assuring me that she would monitor the cook as he prepared my meal to make sure it was dairy free as well!

  10. in & out burger. Order burgers "protein style". No bun, a lettuce wrap. I dont trust Applebees. they state right on their gluten free menu that they share fryers and then list french frys on their gf menu. Not celiac safe.

  12. In &Out is awesome. I agree about Applebees, NOT Celiac safe. I just spoke to a restaurant manager about getting glutened from something on their gf menu. Just because a restaurant has a gf menu doesnt mean they know what they are doing, or are careful. Side note:We have always done super well at restaurants in Disneyland. : )

  13. Taylor, great idea! I travel for a living and have to eat in restaurants every day. Applebee's - been glutened in multiple restaurants across multiple states! PF Chang's - wonderful! Chipotle - my favorite, but it's best if you tell them they are Celiac then observe their practices to catch them to point out potential issues before they make any error's. They're really good about working with you, and I've had more than one manager thank me! And Red Robin - they're working hard at being the best! This list should go viral! Many restaurants say "we don't serve gluten free." If the waiter isn't knowledgeable, ask to speak to whomever is Certified Food Safe. If there's nobody who is - don't eat there!!!

  14. We're always looking for Gluten free pizza! THE BEST if you live in the Northwest is McKinzie River Pizza but even Dominoes has one good enough to mention here.

  15. PS some In N Out's good, some not so much. Make sure you order spread on the side as the spatula they use to spread it on buns goes back and forth in the jar. They have packets of spread that you can open and put on yourself. Took me a long time to figure that one out...

  16. Looks like my other post did not go through? Thanks for the list. Also good is Lazy Dog Cafe, Z Pizza has dedicated oven and trained staff, Ruby's Diner has GF buns for burgers and sandwiches and they will make the fries separately in their own pan (otherwise cross-contaminated).

  17. Subway now has gluten free rolls for sandwiches and they are good!
